Janos' Inventing Shed

Hello, I'm Janos, and welcome to my Inventing Shed. This area of the website gives me and other inventors a place to swap ideas about building bits of kit, and also the more routine areas of kit maintenance. There's a lot of info here about some of my projects, but I suspect that this is just an attempt to stop me talking too much at the pub.

The good news is that Southwark Council have just given me Planning Permission for an even bigger and better shed, so more inventing is on the way!

But first a word of caution: Diving can be a dangerous business if you're not careful and sensible and take precautions. This is especially true if you're going to start diving with home-made kit. I have therfore formulated Janos' First Law of DIY Diving: Always assume that any home-made kit is going to fail in the worse possible way at the worst possible time. So if you do decide to try any of the ideas on this page, then please be careful about it, and always plan what you're going to do if the worst happens.

Also, please be very careful with the materials you use. Make sure you use stuff that's doesn't poison the fishes, so that there are plenty of lobsters left for Cleggy and his lobsterizer.

Email The Shed if you have an ideas for other projects.
