Sports Diver
Sports Diver is the second step in the BSAC training programme – and a course we’d strongly encourage all members to do.
Once you’ve completed your Sports Diver qualification, you’ll be able to dive to a depth of 35m, conducted planned decompression stops and dive with another diver of the same grade.
In practical terms, this means that 90 percent of the club’s diving programme will now be open to you so you’ll have a wide range of trips to choose from!
The course consists of six classroom lessons, a theory assessment, a dry practical lesson, a pool session and five Open Water lessons.
It emphasises further rescue skills as well as the use of extra equipment, such as surface marker buoys and compasses.
