I hope you all had a great weekend. As you will have seen, our 2020 diving calendar is already starting to shape up, before we have even had our first dive planning meeting! Already we have week long trips to west Scotland, Norway and Scapa Flow, weekend trips to Plymouth and day trips from Brighton in the calendar. There are also rumours of a week long winter warmer in foreign climes in April. As ever, if you'd like to go on any of these trips, I would advise getting touch with the organisers as soon as possible – they will fill up!
Of course 2019 isn't yet over, although many of the remaining trips are full. Please still get in touch with the organisers as spaces do sometimes become available closer to the dates. Plus, there is plenty of scope to squeeze in a new day trip or weekend in the coming months – if you fancy organising one. Grab me in the pub if you want to chat about that!
Finally, the AGM is now getting close (keep 16 October free in your diaries). We will have a short dive planning meeting as part of the AGM so please start thinking now about where you would like to dive next year!
I have also enclosed the updated plan for training. As ever, if you would like to do some training, take your exam, teach in the pool / theory, jump in the pool for a swim or practice some skills – we would love to hear from you. There is (for example) space for divers in the pool this week if anyone fancies a dip (training or otherwise).
If you would like to join the lectures to work towards your SD or DL qualification, please let us know. If anyone has missed any of their DL lessons please get in touch to reschedule a catchup for you. Similarly, if you are already qualified (with BSAC or with any other organisation) and would like to sit in for one or more of the lessons as a refresher, please get in touch.
